DEHRADUN: The Uttarakhand High court has dismissed the special appeal of the state government against the stay of single bench over recruitment procedure for 200 posts for Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation. Chief justice KM Joseph and VK Bisht considered the special appeal as premature. The judges directed the state government to appeal before the single bench in this case.
Owing to this, the corporation has to cancel the examination to be held for the selection of the candidates on Monday. The petitioner Ripu Daman Singh and two other candidates moved the high court citing irregularities in the appointments of employees, including two logging officers and one account official to the corporation.
The petitioner alleged that candidates with lower education qualification were selected for the exams, while those having the requisite qualification were rejected and their envelops carrying the documents were returned.
