Huawei Technologies India, the Indian R and D Centre of Huawei, an ICT solutions provider, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with JSS Science and Technology University to provide Huawei Scholarships for Excellence to students of its engineering college.
As a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, HTIPL advocates contribution to countries and communities in which it operates, promoting and encouraging education and research. Accordingly, the university nominated academically distinguished students for scholarship support from the company, a release stated here.
The scholarship ₹50,000 each will be given annually to second, third and fourth year students of the Bachelor of Technology course.
The Huawei scholarships will be provided to 10 students with high academic performance who require financial assistance, to encourage them to achieve academic excellence and pave the way for their career, the university stated in the release.
Vice-Chancellor B.G. Sangameshwara recently distributed the scholarship cheques to students in the presence of the university’s administrative team.
