The State Bank of India (SBI) is expected to declare the results of the preliminary examination for the recruitment of 2,000 probationary officers (PO) in the state-run bank on its official website on July 15.
Category-wise merit list will be drawn on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in the preliminary exam, which were held on July 1, 7 and 8, to shortlist candidates for the main exam.
Here’s how to check SBI PO Prelims result 2018 after it is declared:
1) Visit the career section of SBI’s official website
2) Click on the fifth dot in the latest announcement section
3) Click on the link for SBI PO prelims 2018 result
4) Enter your roll/registration number, date of birth and captcha code
5) Click on submit
6) Result will be displayed on the screen
The number of candidates selected for the main exam, from the top of the merit list, will be approximately 10 times the numbers of vacancies in each category.
The main exam will be held on August 8 and its result will be declared on August 20. It will have an objective test of 200 marks and descriptive test for 50 and will be held online. The descriptive test will take place immediately after the objective test.
The objective test will be of three hours and have four sections with separate timings for each. There will be a penalty for wrong answers in the objective tests. For each wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted. There will be no penalty for questions not answered.
The descriptive test of 30-minutes duration will be a test of English language (letter writing and essay).
Group exercises and interview will be conducted for those who clear the main examination. The group exercises and interview will be held from September 24 to October 12 and the results will be declared on November 1.
