Yet another DRDO recruitment 2019 notification has been freshly issued. The notification has been issued on Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC), which undertakes various recruitment programmes to induct scientists every year in a variety of scientific and engineering disciplines relevant to Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). This time, the DRDO backed GTRE is looking to hire engineers for 5 DRDO JRF positions at Bangalore. The Junior Research Fellowship would be initially awarded for a period of two years, which is extendable.
Who is Eligible to Apply for the DRDO JRF Vacancy?
The DRDO recruitment 2019 notification mentions that Indian nationals, who are not more than 28 years of age on 12 May 2019 can apply for the DRDO JRF positions. The candidates are also required to have the following qualifications:
There are two DRDO JRF vacancies available for candidates with a Mechanical Engineering degree which could be either a BE or BTECh in first division and a valid GATE score OR ME or MTech in first division both at graduate and post graduate level from a recognized university or institute.
There is one DRDO JRF Vacancy available each for candidates with Aeronautical orAerospace Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology or Information Science engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering which could be as mentioned above a BE or BTECh in first class along with a valid GATE score OR ME or MTech in first class both at graduate and post graduate level from a recognized university or institute thus amounting to a total of 5 JRF positions, as per notification.
Selected candidates would be eligible for a pay as commissioned by the DRDO headquarters, which is usually around Rs 25,000 per month plus house rent allowance. The selected candidates may also be allowed to register for MS or PhD with any University or Institution during the tenure of fellowship.
The notification also clearly mentions that the award of fellowship does not confer on the candidates any right for regular absorption in DRDO whatsoever. Candidates are advised to go through the detailed DRDO recruitment 2019 notification before applying online.
How to Apply for the DRDO JRF Vacancy
Candidates who fulfill the above mentioned eligibility need to first register themselves with the Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC) website with a valid email address and mobile number, and then apply online only on the official RAC website. The online application form will only work on Mozilla Firefox version 55 and Google Chrome version 55 or higher. Candidates will be able to log in any time till the closing date and time of the advertisement to complete the online application form submission process, says the notification. After filling the biodata, candidates are also required to upload a photograph and attested copies of the required documents. After completing the above mentioned formalities, the website clearly mentions that the candidate is required to lock the application, which would then be deemed complete and considered for further processing. The online application process that started on 3 May 2019 would be open until 12 May 2019, before which interested candidates are required to apply.
