DRDO recruitment 2019 for engineers has been announced by the Centre for Airborne Systems (CABS), Bengaluru, which is one of the premier research centers of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). There are as many as 20 junior research fellowships (JRF) available and engineers from various streams can apply for the same. Selected candidates will be eligible for a stipend of Rs 31,000 plus house rent allowance.
Who can Apply for the DRDO Recruitment 2019 for Engineers?
As per the DRDO recruitment 2019 notification, the following is the eligibility criteria required: ME or MTech degree in first class both in graduate and postgraduate level or BE, BTech or MSc in first division along with a valid GATE score, and the degrees can be in the streams of computer science and engineering (7 vacancies), electronics and communication engineering (8 vacancies), mechanical engineering (2 vacancies) and electrical engineering (3 vacancies). The candidates will be placed in Bengaluru, and would be hired initially for a period of two years, which is extendable for further two years. Candidate should not be over 28 years of age; however, the age is relaxable for SC, ST and OBC candidates.

Interested and eligible candidates need to send an application in the format provided in the DRDO recruitment 2019 notification, and send it to The Director, Centre for Airborne Systems (CABS), DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Belur, Yemlur PO, Bengaluru 560037 by speed post only before the third week of September 2019. The application form can also be downloaded from the “what’s new” section of the DRDO website. Candidates must also mention “APPLICATION FOR THE EMPNALEMENT OF JRF” in bold on the left side of the envelope. Shortlisted candidates will be informed through email or speed post.
