Election commission has asked for report from Bengal home secretary over the matter of attempted bribery to BJP leader Rahul Sinha by two policemen.
BJP’s former state President Rahul Sinha had alleged that two policemen had gone to bribe him on Monday. He is unhappy as the two policemen were not arrested by Kolkata Police. Sinha lodged a complaint with the chief electoral officer (CEO) on Tuesday, urging a probe by the CBI in the matter of attempting to bribe him.
Sinha has also demanded that Kolkata Police commissioner Rajeev Kumar should be removed immediately, as he was involved in removing evidence related to Sharada case, while he was a member of special investigation team (SIT).
