AHMEDABAD: The state government has directed educational institutes across the state to open social media accounts and link them with the state government’s education department.
The government has asked the colleges and institutes to have a responsible person, who can operate these accounts, as in-charge.
The institutes have been asked to identify the person who will be responsible for all the posts through these accounts. The move is a part of the digital India project of the central government.
The education department already has an account www.facebook.com/GujEduDept. The department has asked the institutes to ensure that the students follow the page in order to keep themselves updated. The government has stated that the new circular and all other notifications will be posted there. tnn
