The course will have a hybrid learning structure, offering a mixture of online as well as classroom learning. According to a report in The Indian Express, the technology partner for the course is Hughes Global Education, an online learning solutions provider. The programme will facilitate satellite-based education through an interactive onsite learning (IOL) platform across more than 85 classrooms in over 50 cities. In near future, IIM-A also plans to start online courses in business financing, business analysis and advanced general management.
Designed keeping in mind junior, mid and senior level professionals as well as entrepreneurs, the course will focus on developing skills and strategies that will enable them to take their organisations to the next level.
The first batch of the two-year ePGP course will begin in June 2017 with 800 classroom instruction hours. The course will cost Rs. 17 lakh. For the convenience of the working professionals, the classes are to be conducted during evening hours and over the weekends.
The minimum qualifications required are a graduate degree with at least 50% marks. Admission to the course will take place through an entrance test — either GMAT, CAT or IIM Admission Test (IAT).
The programme will include compulsory core courses in the first year and will move on to elective courses in the second year.
