Following in the footsteps of Stanford University, the Alison platform is now offering Harvard photography classes online for free. The courses were developed by Harvard and are shared legally with a Creative Commons license, along with classes on 750 other topics.
Sounds like a great way to kick off 2017 with a new hobby!
There are twelve modules, and the 13th module is a final evaluation that you have to pass to complete the course.
The program is mainly composed of the basics of digital photography, including training on how retouching software works, how to use a digital camera, read histograms, the importance of light, color, lenses, exhibition techniques and a brief history of photography.
You need to sign up for a free account, there are no enrollment fees to pay, and you can study the course entirely for free. But don’t forget to get out there and practice!
