Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) has issued notification to recruit 496 medical officers in Central Armed Police Forces (ITBP, BSF, CRPF, SSB and Assam Rifles) . ITBP will recruit four Super Specialist Medical Officers (Second in Command), 175 Specialist Medical Officers (Deputy commandant) and 317 Medical Officers (Assistant Commandant) through this process. The number of vacancies may change according to the requirement.
Candidates can apply in online mode only from 1am onwards on April 2, 2019 through ITBP recruitment website . The last date for application is May 1, 2019.
Candidates must go through the eligibility conditions carefully before applying as it varies from post to post. The detailed eligibility conditions is available in the notification.
Here is the basic eligibility condition for applying:
To become a Super Specialist Medical Officers a candidate must have a graduate degree in Medicine (M.B.B.S) or equivalent from a recognised university/Institution included in the first schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
To become a Specialist Medical Officers or Medical Officers a candidate should have a recognized medical qualification of allopathic system of medicines included in the first or second schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
ITBP Medical Officers Posts: Age Limit for candidates
To become Super Specialist Medical Officers, candidates should not be more than 50 years of age on the closing date of receipt of application. For Specialist Medical Officers, candidates should not be more than 40 years of age on the closing date of receipt of application.For Medical Officers, candidates should not be more than 30 years of age on the closing date of receipt of application.
Selection Process for ITBP Medical Officers Posts:
For all the three posts, eligible candidates will be called for interview by a Board of Officers at designated centers to assess their suitability for appointment in CAPFs.
A total of 200 marks are allotted to the selection process to test the general knowledge and ability of the candidates in the field of their academic study and also in the nature of the personality test to measure candidates intellectual curiosity, balance of judgement and alertness of mind etc. The minimum standard for the purpose of selection at the interview shall be 50% of the total marks prescribed for the interview of Super Specialist Medical Officers and 40% in case of Specialist Medical Officers and Medical Officers.
The candidates, who attain the minimum prescribed standard for selection in the interview, will have undergo a medical examination.
