While traditional classes have already begun, Lamar Community College offers three additional late-start sessions of online courses for busy individuals looking to fit education into their current schedules.
The online sessions are offered in six and ten-week formats, allowing students to get the information they need and complete classes quickly. Two six-week sessions are available, running from February 6 through March 18 or March 27 through May 6. The ten-week session begins February 27 and ends on May 6.
There are currently over 130 CCCOnline courses students may add to their schedule. To see a list of these available courses, visit www.lamarcc.edu.
Taking classes online allows for a high degree of flexibility; students can do their coursework at any time and from anywhere, making it easy to fit a class or two into an already busy schedule.
Local residents taking online courses can also take advantage of on-campus resources including access to computer labs, tutoring services, the library, and career and transfer counseling.
Online classes can help students launch their education or simply develop a skill. For example, one of the available online courses this spring is Fundamentals of Accounting, in which students get a solid base knowledge of accounting, whether they plan to go on to obtain a degree or polish their accounting skills for use at their current job.
Those interested in taking these courses should enroll as soon as possible. To apply for admission and register for courses, visit www.lamarcc.edu.
