RBI Recruitment 2019 has begun and the premier organization is looking to hire engineers for several vacancies. The Reserve Bank of India is accepting applications for the jobs online, and the registrations for the same started on 7th January 2019 and will go on till 27th January 2019.
The selection for the post will be based on an online examination of 300 marks and Language Proficiency Test (LPT), the tentative date of which is 1st February 2019, according to the RBI website. The number of vacancies available is 24 for various zones across the country (including general merit/SC/ST/OBC/others). The candidate also has to be proficient in the local language of the concerned zone. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests and 1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Selected candidates will draw a starting basic pay of Rs 21,400 per month to which incentives will be added, and at present, initial monthly gross emoluments for Junior Engineer (Civil/ Electrical) is approximately Rs 49,026 per month. Graduate candidates are eligible for two more advance increments, says the RBI website.
Who is Eligible for RBI Recruitment 2019
As per the RBI website, Civil Engineers with 65% and at least 2 years of experience for Diploma holders or at least 1 year experience and 55% for degree holders in execution and supervision of civil construction work and/or civil maintenance of office buildings/ commercial buildings/residential complexes with basic knowledge of RCC design and other civil works, working knowledge of computers, experience in preparation of tenders for civil works, etc. can apply (45% for SC/ST/PWD).
Furthermore, Electrical Engineers with 65% and at least 2 years of experience for Diploma holders or at least 1-year experience and 55% for Degree holders in execution and supervision of electrical installations in large buildings/ commercial buildings having HT/ LT substations, central AC plants, lifts, UPS, DG sets, CCTV, Fire alarm system, etc. can apply (45% for SC/ST/PWD).
The candidates should not exceed 30 years of age as on 1st January 2019; however, there is an age relaxation for SC/ST, OBC, PWD, candidates as well as for few other candidates, the notification for which can be read about here.
How to Apply for RBI Engineering Jobs
Interested candidates must apply online on the official RBI website and no other modes of application are available, says the RBI notification. Candidates can apply online only from 7 January 2019 to 27 January 2019. Candidates will be required to pay an examination/intimation fee of Rs 450 (Rs 50 for SC/ST/PWD/EX-Servicemen), which is completely non-refundable.
Candidates are also required to have a valid personal email ID, which should be kept active till the declaration of results. RBI may send call letters for the Examination and send other information through the registered e-mail ID. Candidates are first required to go to RBI website. On the Home Page, click on the option “Recruitment for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil / Electrical)” to open the On-Line Application Form, says the notification.
Candidates must be cautious while filling the application as no changes will be allowed to be made after the submission of the online application. The online application payment will have to be made through Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets by providing information as asked on the screen. On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt will be generated.
