The process of application submissions for State Bank of India (SBI) Specialist Officers (SO) recruitment has started on October 4. The State Bank of India (SBI) had notified for filling 476 posts under Specialist Cadre Officers (regular & Contract Basis) under Grade JMGS I, MMGS I and MMGS II that includes Assistant Manager (System), Developer, Test lead, Tester, Manager (Statistician), Assistant Manager (Statistician), Project Manager, Business Analyst, Infrastructure Engineer posts and others. The online applications for SBI SO recruitment 2016 can be filled through the official web portal www.sbi.co.in.
The Bank has put up the official advertisement at its official site and the candidates are advised to go through the notification carefully to determine their eligibility for the posts mentioned under the advertisement. Different posts require different educational qualification and experience criteria. The selected candidates through the recruitment process are likely to be posted at Mumbai.
The candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria can apply for the SBI SO recruitment 2016 by October 22. The online test for selected posts (System Officer, Developer, Test Lead, Tester and Statistician) is tentatively scheduled to be conducted on November 25, 2016. For other posts under the SBI SO recruitment, the candidates would have to send the hard copy of the online application form. The last date of receipt of the hard copy along with enclosure is set as October 26. These posts are contractual nature and for filling these posts, the Bank would shortlist the applicants and invite them for interview.

The candidates applying for these posts are required to send the printed copy of application form duly signed and pasted with their recent photographs along with relevant documents (date of birth, educational qualification certificate, experience, caste certificate) and sent to : The General Manager, State Bank of India, Corporate Centre, Central Recruitment & Promotion Department, Atlanta Building, 3rd Floor, Plot No. 209, VBR, Block No. III, Nariman Point, Mumbai – 400021.
Selection process for System Officer, Developer, Test Lead, Tester and Statistician consists of an online test and interview. The online test may be organised at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna & Thiruvananthapuram.
The SBI SO online test would consist of four sections : Reasoning (50 questions), Quantitative Aptitude (35 questions), English Language (35 questions) and Professional Knowledge (PK) (50 questions). The candidates are required to obtain minimum qualifying marks in first three sections, while the marks obtained in the PK paper would be taken into consideration while preparing the merit list.
The admit cards for the online test are expected to be released 10 days before the test date. The candidates would be able to download their admit card/call letter for the online test from Novembe 15 as the test would be held on November 25.
