The Department of Civil Engineering, Giani Zail Singh College of Engineering and Technology, organised a seminar on career counselling for industrial training on the college premises here today.The seminar was briefed by MS Kaushik, career counsellor and motivational speaker. He threw light on the courses of industrial training as a career option. He discussed the whereabouts of different courses that students can opt for their six-month industrial training.Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, Vice-Chancellor of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, lauded the efforts by the department for organising the seminar.Prof Manjeet Bansal, head of the department, appreciated the efforts of the speaker and said all these sessions were very necessary for the students.He also said the session went well and the university would hold many more such seminars for the benefit of the students.The seventh semester students of the department attended the session. Besides students, the faculty members of the department also actively took part in the session.
