There are hundreds, if not thousands of recruiting blogs, available across the Internet. Sadly, most of them are dead, dying or simply not worth reading. Fortunately, there are a few diamonds in the rough and we’ve listed the top 23 here. Check out our list of the best recruitment blogs and add any of your favorites in the comments. If enough people recommend a specific one, we’ll add it the list.

Greenhouse
Greenhouse is one of the hottest applicant tracking systems on the market, which should not come as a surprise if you check out their blog. Typically publishing one new post per week (and sometimes more), the Greenhouse blog tackles recruiting from every angle imaginable. The blog’s greatest strength is its diverse set of opinions. Not content to just post what they themselves know, the Greenhouse team scours the Internet for guest posts from the best and brightest minds in recruiting.
Recruitee
Recruitee, developers of an industry-leading applicant tracking system, doesn’t just know how to code. They can write too! This blog has everything, including advice on talent sourcing, HR technology, and employer branding. One of the best aspects of this blog is the mix of how-to’s such as this post on How to create a career site with more touchy-feely subjects such as How to improve the candidate experience.
Social Skills Social Talent is an Irish startup that provides online and social media training to the recruitment industry so it is no surprise that they also excel at sharing their knowledge in blog form. Over the past ten years, this content marketing juggernaut has produced over 1,650 articles on a recruiting blog that spans the breadth of the recruiting world. Signing up for their email list is a great way to stay on top of the latest news in the industry and of course, their social media posts are a great way to learn about how to use social media to up your recruitment game.
Juice
Juice is a provider of highly engaging courses for recruiters so it should be no surprise that their blog content also lives up to their high standards. While the blog isn’t updated as often as it used to be, the quality of the posts still makes it well worth reading. As for the topics, they cover a wide range but have a focus on technology and online learning, two areas that are beneficial for the modern-day recruiter to understand.
Lever
Lever’s main focus is developing an industry-leading ATS but they also find the time to create a blog on recruiting that has some outside-the-box takes. While there are plenty of articles on recruiting favorites such as interviewing and sourcing, there are also more unconventional thoughts on topics such as using design thinking to create recruiting metrics. As a data nerd myself, my favourite category is data-driven recruiting, a topic that is discussed with ever-increasing frequency but still not given the prominence it deserves.
CareerPlug
The CareerPlug blog is all about helping non-HR people hire better. This includes franchise owners, small business owners, and people who have never heard of “candidate experience.” CareerPlug is the blog for you if hiring is not your primary job responsibility. In fact, you don’t have to be a certified Hiring Expert because they require all of their employees to be. The advice they share is practical and actionable, all taken from their proven hiring playbook they’ve spent years perfecting.
Firefish
Written and managed by a team of ex-recruiters, the award-winning Firefish blog is bursting with recruitment posts, ebooks, and industry reports to help you recruit to your full potential. Read by over 15,000 recruiters each month, blog topics include agency management, business development and marketing tips.
Harver
As a company, Harver offers tools for talent acquisition pros to improve their candidate assessment, interviewing, reference checks, and hiring process. On their blog, they share innovative recruitment and HR strategies, with a strong focus on data-driven recruitment and automation tools. While they don’t post on a regular schedule, you can expect to find 2-3 new posts on the site each week.
Workable
Workable isn’t just a recruitment blog. They aim to provide HR professionals with resources in a variety of areas; however, many of these resources are centered on talent acquisition and can be just as useful for recruiting agencies as they are for in-house HR teams. This includes case studies like this interview with Casio Senior HR Executive Samantha Vallins on how the company transformed its hiring process, along with posts on candidate sourcing, candidate experience, and AI in hiring.
Personal Recruiting Blogs
WizardSourcer – Jonathan Kidder
Jonathan Kidder, a.k.a. the “WizardSourcer,” is a top-ranked technical talent sourcing recruiter, staffing expert, and corporate trainer who assists organizations of all sizes in identifying and attracting top talent. He is a wizard at harnessing the power of social networking, Boolean strings, search aggregators, deep web searching, scrapers, and other advanced technology tricks and tools. In 2015, he founded a recruiting blog called WizardSourcer.com which has become one of the leading knowledge resources for recruiters online. His mission is simple: to help recruiters and talent sourcers stay up-to-date on the latest sourcing trends within our community.
Boolean Strings – Irina Shamaeva
Irina Shamaeva is a legend in the world of sourcing and for good reason – she’s one of the absolute best. What’s even more impressive than her sourcing skills is her willingness to share what knows so openly.
Whereas most people horde their knowledge and give it away only if you pay them, Irina recognizes that the best way to drum up new business is to show the world exactly how good you are. There’s no doubt that her posts aren’t for the faint of heart, with titles like “The Complete Guide to X-Raying LinkedIn” and “Google Introduces before: and after:.” But if you’re willing to sit down and go slowly through what Irina is sharing, there’s no question you’ll come out on the other side as a better recruiter.
The Super Source Me Blog
Super Source Me is the blog run by recruiting trainers Karolina Latus and Kasia Tang. Never heard of them before? I hadn’t either until recently. But despite their lack of name recognition, you should be reading what they have to say. Why? Because they know their stuff. Most of their posts have actionable advice and even those that don’t are a fun read. While I can’t vouch for any of the services they are selling, I can say that their posts suggest they might be good value, too.
Greg Savage’s The Savage Truth Recruiters pay attention when Greg Savage speaks, despite his 40 years in the business. The founder of four successful recruiting businesses, this advisor to the recruiting industry puts out posts on a variety of topics, ranging from recruitment stats and figures to more intangible subjects like how to build candidate trust. With a list of categories so long that it took me five seconds to scroll to the bottom, you can be certain you’ll find something that is relevant to you.
HR Bartender
The blog of HR pro turned consultant Sharlyn Lauby, HR Bartender isn’t exclusively devoted to recruiting but that is one of its primary areas of focus, and you can easily view just the posts related to recruiting and retention. Posts often focus on timely topics, such as the recent article about new employee benefits rules, interspersed with more evergreen advice.
Katrina Collier Blog
After more than 20 years in the recruiting industry, Katrina Collier has some valuable insights to share and her blog is a great place to find them. New posts don’t come out quite as often as with some of the other blogs on this list, usually around 1-2 a month, but they more than make up for in quality what they lack in quantity. The posts combine an honest, entertaining, and sometimes snarky voice with insider insights, so you can both enjoy reading them and learn something in the process.
Recruiting Publications
SourceCon
Despite its name, SourceCon is not just a conference focusing on sourcing. It’s also a repository for a surprisingly large number of articles on this niche topic. The beauty of this blog is that it focuses on actionable articles rather than fluffy pieces. With prosaic titles like “The Wonderful World of Chrome Extensions” and “Targeting Location to Search on LinkedIn”, this site is clearly about substance over style.
Recruiting Blogs
If you want a hub for all things recruiting, this is where you need to go. Featuring at least one new post per day, a monthly podcast and a list of conferences and articles on recruiting tools, Recruiting Blogs, which is technically an aggregation of multiple recruitment blogs, is a comprehensive source for all things recruiting.
How do they put out so much high-quality content? The site allows anyone to write a post but carefully reviews each one to ensure that they meet the site’s standards.
